High Performance Purging Additive for Cleaning of Plastic Molding Machines, "SupplePurge"
SupplePurge is for resin change, color change, carbide elimination, black spot prevention and gelation control.
SupplePurge is a polyethylene capsule that is filled with a patented functional solution. This innovative purging solution for cleaning resin molding machines reinvents the concept of purging materials.
Since the functional solution is directly contained in the capsule, even a small amount is effective. With its high permeability, it is quickly dispersed inside the machines, forming a film on metal surfaces and purging carbide and residues. These waste residues are removed from the machines with resin pressure.
The organic boron compound contained in the capsule, which possesses a semi-polar bond, serves as a purging solution and also effects prevention of static charge, aggregated particles, and dispersion of materials. With these features, regular use of SupplyPurge disperses gelled materials and prevents carbide from being generated, as well as eliminating carbide with color and resin changes.
 


Features
1.  There is no need to be concerned about remaining residue, since it contains no minerals and works completely chemically.
2.  Mild alkali solution with pH 7.8 does not damage plating or metal.
3.  Decomposition temperature is 400 degrees or higher! Thus, it can be used for various materials from general-purpose resins to super engineering plastic.
4.  Simply adding a spoonful of SupplePurge to 2 kilograms of resin that your company has on hand creates a purging solution.
5.  By selecting base resins, your company can create original purging materials.
6.  Depending on the application, purging cost can be reduced to less than one third of normal cost. (Some companies report that total cost is reduced by half that of the master batch type.)
7.  Proven for use with injection molding machines, extruders, blow molding machines and other equipment (including blow heads of fuel tanks).

Amount to be used
Contains 80 grams per bottle, with included measuring spoon. The following are amounts used for injection molding machines and extruders. These are average amounts. Due to the solution’s preventive effect, after continued use the amount of SupplyPurge can be reduced to around half. Adjust the amount to be mixed in accordance with the condition of machines.

How to use) Injection molding machines:
1.  Add appropriate amount of capsules to the carrier resin and mix it well (see the table above).
2.  After cleaning the hopper, insert the purging resin into it. For soaking purging, turn the machine off once the purging resin is discharged from the end of the nozzle. After cooling, heat it up to the molding temperature.
3.  Machines are purged with 10 to 25mm short stroke cylinders at 0 to 15% pressure. Note that the temperature at the bottom of the hopper will fall abruptly if it is measured for machines with long stroke cylinders.
4.  Purging is complete once dirt, abnormal materials, colored waste, carbide, and other waste substances are discharged.


Extruders
1.  Add an appropriate amount of capsules to the carrier resin and mix it well (see the table above).
2.  After cleaning the hopper, insert the above-mentioned purging resin into it. For soaking purging, after confirming that the resin that your company uses has been replaced with the purging resin, turn the machine off. After cooling it, heat it up to the molding temperature to discharge the purging resin.
3.  Set the screw rotation speed at low or medium level to discharge the purging resin.
4.  Purging is complete once dirt, abnormal materials, colored waste, carbide, and other waste substances are discharged.
